October 29th 2017 is the let day of the season
Good place to eat, pricey for what you get, but still good!
The food was delicious and I'm so glad me and my brother and our friend stopped to get food here
Out of a lot of stuff but it was the end of the day on Sunday we will go again and try more. They do have a vegitarian option that was a pleasant surprise
Employees were great and hard workers. Food was average and took awhile but we had a wild and trashy family that took forever ahead of us in line. Took about 20 minutes to order, kept changing what they wanted, had kids too old to be horseplaying around the restaurant including wrestling on top of booth tables during a pandemic- parents did nothing, restaurant employees said nothing. No one in their family had masks despite the door saying they were required. Employees did well trying to get them in/out but i feel should have just asked them to leave without masks- or just had 1 of their 6 family members handle the order.
For a tourist town they sure were out of a lot of items. What they did have was good. Definitely a quick lunch stop.
Great selection, great prices, fast & friendly service!! Right in the heart of Mackinaw City!! We come back every year!
I was surprised at the quantity of food you get here. The hot dogs were perfect. The waffle fries were perfectly cooked. We even ordered 2 beef hot dogs for our dogs and they lived them as well.
If they are busy I don’t recommend this place. Hot dogs were average but the 40-45 minute wait for two hot dogs was ridiculous.
Filling hot dog menu. Verry tasty. Cant wait to return.
Great hot dogs! Lots of different options. Only down side on this visit was no foot long dogs or burgers.
First time n food was Great would go back again
Way too expensive for what you get. They will gladly take your money, give you a place to sit,but you can’t use their restroom. Not worth it take a picture and buy your hotdog at a gas station
My grandson's seen the big wiener on the roof. They had to go there. I'm glad we did.Wonderful staff. Very friendly. Great selection. They made it the way we ordered it. We will be back the we are in town..
We stopped for a quick bite, on our way through Mackinaw. Dogs were delicious, but had hoped to get them to go. They wouldn't do "to-go" orders so we sat outside and ate. Definitely a good stop
Great, quick service... the dogs are delicious!
Delicious as always, but no shirts available right now :(
Didn't expect much of the cute hot dog place. I got a great hot dog with delicious waffle fries. Got our orders quick. A few complaints I have are: they close too soon, and they put a little too much condiments on the hot dogs. Other than that a great place
Great food and service staff did a great job I would recommend to any to stop in and try it.
I have never ate here. I called to ask some questions about this place. I called 3 times and they kept hanging up on me. I live 3.5 hrs away. The girl I talked to was very RUDE. She told me to call back later. Then she gave the phone to some guy. I really don't think this is how you should treat people who are planning a vacation and this is one of the places they were thinking of coming to with a group of 9 people. Lost business for sure on this one.
I stop for lunch twice a year on my way to the UP. I've been doing it for years. This time there was no line out the door. If you try it during the summer crush be prepared to wait in line for a while. I always have the Mackinaw with the chili cheese waffle fries. An iconic place to stop that just makes me happy.
2 hotdogs and a small fry was almost 13$ was yelled at to wear mask but one of the cooks had no mask. A can of pop/soda was 2$ register lady was very rude. My food was good but definitely not 13$ good. Only went because I could eat inside.
The waffle fries were great. But that isn't to hard to mess up. I can burn a hot dog, open some canned chili, and slop it on a hot dog too. For less than $5🙄 And it doesn't hurt to be kind to your customers. I didnt even get greeted or spoken to for that matter yet the people in front and behind me were. weird. I won't be returning.
Raw corn dogs. Unfriending staff. It's just a hot dog place...come on. Do not recommend
Owner is a good guy fun to talk with. Great Chicago dogs loaded to the max and a koegels hot dog
Best corn dog ever! My son said the hot dog was great as well. Fast service, met the owner and he was very nice, friendly. It is a great place to eat!
First time I've ever eaten here. Not bad if you don't mind them charging for everything..... Place like this should have combos....$5 for a hotdog anything on it is extra, fries are 2.29 and so is the drink. Was trying to save money by not eating on the island with my group of 14. Turns out should have just ate on the island before we left, better food by a long shot and better memories would have been made. This place was definitely NOT worth the money spent!!!!
Chili dog and fries 🍟 were delicious.
It's a great place and constantly busy, the food is excellent
Fantastic wieners, but my goodness, I got a milkshake and they literally just threw milk and ice into a blender with a squirt of chocolate then passed me a straw so thin you'd struggle to drink coffee through it. It was by far the worst shake I've ever had in my life, and for this abomination, I was charged 5 dollars. Like I said, great wieners 10/10 would buy again, but dont buy their shakes unless your looking to be disappointed.
just need to go once. tourist trap.. okay food
Had a foot long Chicago dog and let me tell you it was spot on, from the smell to the taste. My wife had the braught and it was also delicious. Even my 18 month old loved it here!
Great hot dogs but the star is the chili cheese waffle fries
A great place to grab a good dog. Plenty of options on the menu, or choose your own toppings.
Quite over priced, but understandable considering the location. I had the Mackinaw Dog ($4.99) with sauerkraut, it was really good. The music seriously needs to be turned down or preferably off. I could hardly place my order without saying What, What, What??? Ugh!
We stopped here on the way to the upper peninsula. I can’t resist when a merchant puts out the effort to make a massive sculpture of their product and puts it on top of their building. For a last minute decision, getting off and back on the road wasn’t an inconvenience at all. The hot dogs were worth the stop.
The food was so delicious and the lady that took our order was so sweet! She even came to our table when we finished and told us not to forget to get refills when we left! Everyone was so pleasant! Will definitely come back again! Oh and the cheese fries were AMAZING!
We stopped because we are fans of the show Chuck. We were greeted by some very friendly staff. They gave us time to look over the menu and order. We sat up at the counter and enjoyed our meal and some very nice conversation with the manager and staff. They acted like we were old friends. We really like this place and will probably go back while we are here. Yummy yummy food and great people. Can't beat it!!
Great hot dogs. Fast service. Very expensive.
Very disappointed in the price. $5 for a hot dog that's small and weak, regular sized on a plain bun you can buy at Walmart. The only reason they're in business is because there's a giant hot dog on top of their building drawing in tourists. One stop here is all you'll ever need, but you'll need to stop at the bank and a different restaurant afterwards.
Nothing to write home about it was a novelty and the food wasn't that great and was overpriced. Staff wasn't very friendly hot dogs were overcooked, fries were decent. Will not be back.
Giving them credit for the pandemic. The restaurant needs to be cleaned and the food could be a bit better for the price. A $5 hotdog should be a hotdog you will talk about for a while. I wasn't impressed. I feel this place could be the spot with some adjustments to quality.
Better than what I expected. The food was great and we felt safe as we were able to sit outside and eat. The dining room is small, but again with grace, things were set up in such a way that, kindness and integrity was in the forefront of their service to us. My husband had a bratwurst and I had a couple hotdogs, both were delicious! We also split a medium order of waffle fries, which were very good, not greasy or cooked to a hard crisp, but crisp on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Wienerlicious is much better than either on of us imagined❣Loved it❣
Excellent! Our group enjoyed the Chicago Dog (pictured), a Mackinac Dog, and a plain Coney Dog - No Bun, along with a basket of waffle fries. Everything was excellent, and the service was terrific. Sure, you pay a modest premium compared to the high-volume Coney Islands in Downtown Detroit, but the prices were very fair. I will certainly make a point to stop by more frequently on future trips to and from the Upper Peninsula.
Good food and neat looking building. Not a huge hot dog fan but wanted to try it anyways cause of the giant wiener on the building. I got the brat with waffle fries and was awesome!
No footlongs and I was glad to eat outside since the inside was not clean....I almost left because one of the food preps didn't have his mask over his nose....first time there and the sausage and dogs were good...but hard to make up for cleanliness.
No kids menu. Went here hoping to find a plain old hot dog for my kid, we were disappointed that they didn't really have anything targetted for kids at all. Sure if you want a specialty dog with unique topings for an adult this might be the place. But it's not for the picky kid who likes 'em plain, you pay full price for a hot dog plain. Went down the street to scallywags, got kids meals with a hot dog, and fries, and coleslaw and a pop for less than the price of the hotdogs at wienerlicious.
Had a lot of traffic at doors to order, bring trays in and out. Good hotdogs though.
Fun place to eat in Mackinaw City. Their waffle fries are seasoned perfectly and deep fried to give the right balance of tenderness and crunch...the best I've ever had, and they give you a ton of them!
Good hot dogs and chilli cheese waffle fries. The staff could be a little more friendly. A few people got the wrong orders while I was waiting for my order and the old man behind the counter was very rude with the restaurants mess up. Get over it and get the right orders to your paying customers!
The dogs are great and the people are awesome! When I go into Weinerlicious I am always greeted with a smile. They workers are friendly and aim to please. I love the Chicago Dog, but they make a mean Coney too.
